Support for Healing, Parenthood and Lasting Change.

Collingwood Trauma and Perinatal Mental Health Specialists

Many of our clients already understand their patterns and maybe even where they developed along the way. We help them create lasting change by working with the nervous system, relationships, emotions, and lived experience—not just thoughts.

We go beyond insight:

01

Our specialized focus on trauma, perinatal mental health, and parenthood helps clients navigate how their past experiences show up in pregnancy, postpartum, relationships, and parenting.

We understand trauma and parenthood:

02

Our work is designed for people seeking deeper, lasting transformation—not quick fixes. We create a space where growth can unfold at a pace that feels sustainable and supportive.

We believe meaningful healing takes time:

03

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the healing process. When you're doing deeper work, feeling safe, understood, and genuinely connected matters. That's why we believe in creating a space that feels personal, collaborative, and tailored to you.

Frequently Asked

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No, there is no referral needed in order to book a session with one of our therapists.

Do you offer a free consult prior to booking?

We offer an optional free initial 15 minute consultation to help you get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. This is a brief, no-pressure conversation where you can share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and learn more about how we work. It’s an opportunity to connect before booking a full session and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.

How do I get started with the therapy process?

If you feel drawn to working with one of our therapists or want to learn more about how we can support you, you can start by booking a free initial consultation call or scheduling your first session directly here (insert hyperlink). From there, your therapist will meet you where you are and gently guide you through the next steps so the process feels clear, supportive, and easy to navigate.

What kinds of therapy do you offer?

Our work is attachment-based, trauma-informed, somatic, and emotion-focused. In simple terms, that means we don't just talk about what's happening—we help you understand why certain patterns keep showing up, how your past experiences may still be shaping your present, and how those experiences live not only in your thoughts, but in your body and nervous system as well.

Rather than focusing only on coping strategies or insight, we help you slow down, notice what's happening beneath the surface, and gently work with the emotions, beliefs, and nervous system responses that often keep people feeling stuck.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a space to begin getting to know you—your story, what’s bringing you in, and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to go deep right away; we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

How long are sessions and how much do they cost?

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length and the cost per therapy session is $185. Therapists also spend time outside of sessions planning your care and documenting progress.

How does online counselling work?

Online therapy provides the same compassionate, personalized support as in-person counselling, while offering the flexibility to connect from wherever you feel most comfortable. Sessions are held through a secure video platform, and getting started is easy—simply book online and join from your preferred device. All you'll need is a stable internet connection and an up-to-date browser.

Do you provide in person therapy sessions?

Yes! Our office is located downtown Collingwood, Ontario at 124 Ontario Street.

Do you accept insurance?

We don’t provide direct billing at this time but most insurance plans in Ontario cover the services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. We recommend checking your coverage prior to your first session.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens and schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice. This allows us the opportunity to offer that appointment time to another client who may be waiting for support. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee. Thank you for helping us honour both your therapist's time and the needs of our community.

How long do people usually attend therapy for?

Healing isn't something that can be rushed, and everyone's journey looks different. While some clients seek support during a particular season of life, many of the people we work with are looking for deeper, lasting change. Because our approach focuses on healing the underlying patterns and experiences that contribute to distress, therapy is often a longer-term process. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to find a pace that feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your goals.

What if I don’t feel ready to go deep right away in therapy?

That's completely okay. In fact, it's often the best place to start. Therapy isn't about forcing you to talk about things before you're ready. We move at a pace that feels safe and collaborative, taking time to build trust, understand what's bringing you in, and help you feel more grounded before exploring deeper experiences. Lasting healing doesn't come from pushing harder—it comes from feeling safe enough to go there when the time is right.

What if I feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?

You don't need to have it all figured out before you come to therapy. Many people begin feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to put their experience into words. That's okay. Our job isn't to expect you to know where to start—it's to help you make sense of what's been feeling difficult, one step at a time. We'll meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels manageable.
